The Prince of Wales wins the 1st place in the Zonal English Day Drama Competitions

The dialog drama ”Prince of Wales” created by Mrs.R.M.Trileeshiya of Welimada Central College under the supervision of Mrs.Nanda Amaraseeli with the greatest support of Ms.T.M.G.K.Tennakoon, and many other teachers won the 1^st place in zonal level in English drama completition 2014 which was commenced in the month of May. Additionally the students performed well in the provincial English day completition among eight leading schools in Uva Province. 12 students of grade 12 admirably engaged in the drama practices. More over “the students  were highly supportive during the process of English day drama competition”, the teachers in-charge stressed. The very point is that most of the new comers of the Advance Level batch performed in this drama. The participants expressed, “the view that this is a very new experience they have never thought for”. How ever it is sure that the performers were highly delighted of their performances.  

The dramas for English day competitions are staged with enormous contribution of the school English unit every year. The aims are as follows

• ·         To develop students fluency in English.
• ·         To enhance the  creativity  of  the students.
• ·         Makes the students ready for the future challenges
